Denton, TX. – The University of North Texas, a jewel for the community of Denton and one of the most promising colleges in the Lone Star State, would like to commemorate the Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism by announcing the “Fund the Future” as part of the celebration for turning 75.
“Getting back to growing enrollment and programs that help our students after the hiatus we had with COVID has me excited!”, said Cathy Turner, Associate to the Dean of Mayborn School of Journalism. “I look forward to working on getting the word out that the Mayborn has amazing faculty and students who will be the next generation of great communicators in our nation.”
With the need for more financial assistance, Mayborn is looking forward to raising $75,000 in scholarship funds to aid students and research at the college. We are aiming to facilitate current students with financial ease, securing and exploring outreach for new students and faculty, and advancing research opportunities.
“I believe the Fund the Future program will allow more students to receive scholarships towards their tuition,” said Gabriela Maza, a recent graduate, and employee at UNT. “This will help them focus more on their education and towards their career goals.”
Mayborn’s continued efforts in assisting their students with financial needs are the staple for their success and integrity towards preparing them for a better future.
